Artsphere STUDIO  & GALLERY is located in the historic Black Rock area of Buffalo.  It is an active studio on one side and a gallery on the other that is devoted to exhibitions that promote contemporary art and artists working in the WNY area.

Exhibitions have included community involvement such as Rediscovering the Grant-Amherst Area: Photos from its Historic Past, an annual Garden Mystique show in July, celebrating the various garden walks that take place in Buffalo, and Gifts of Art for the Holidays in December.

On constant view and for sale is artwork by many local artists including the ever-changing selection of functional and non-functional work by potter Douglas DeBoth.

Artist-Director Doreen DeBoth utilizes the studio space to create original portraiture, architectural renderings and shale and copper jewelry.  She has taught various art and art history classes in WNY and presently conducts all levels of drawing and painting classes.  As docent for six years and artist-in-residence for two years, Doreen put her skills and talent to work at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Graycliff, producing a body of paintings that historically preserve the architect’s original vision.

Her most recent project involves producing an historic photo postcard book in cooperation with the Grant-Amherst Business Association and local residents to preserve the area’s history which will be available this summer (2006).

Featured in weeklies like the Riverside Review and ArtVoice, Doreen is also a freelance writer, spotlighting artists, exhibitions, and local art projects.
